WHAT IS THE ABUNDANT LIFE AND HOW DO WE EXPERIENCE IT?
The abundant life that Christ promised is found in John 10:10, where Jesus says:
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” NKJV
The concept of abundant life goes beyond material wealth or physical comfort. It refers to a life lived in Christlikeness that is spiritually rich, deeply fulfilling, and rooted in an intimate relationship with God The Holy Spirit. Here’s a deeper look at what this means:
1. Spiritual Fulfillment
- Eternal Life: Abundant life begins with salvation and the promise of eternal life through Jesus. John 3:16 TPT For here is the way God loved the world—he gave his only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life.
- Restoration of Relationship: It means living in close fellowship with God The Holy Spirit, free from the separation caused by sin. John 3:17 NKJV For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
- “Sozo” is the Greek Word used in the New Testament we translate as saved. It means so much more – it signifies total salvation — spiritual redemption, physical healing, deliverance from danger, and complete wholeness, rescued, total restoration. The use of “sozo” throughout the New Testament reveals that Father God’s salvation plan is not limited to the forgiveness of sins but extends to every part of human existence — spirit, soul, and body.
2. Inner Peace and Joy
- Peace in All Circumstances: Abundant life includes an inner peace that surpasses understanding, even in the face of hardship. Philippians 4:7 AMPC And God’s peace [shall be yours, that [a]tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall [b]garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
- Lasting Joy: This joy is not dependent on worldly success or possessions but comes from a sense of purpose, gratitude, and God’s presence.
3. Purpose and Meaning
- Living with Purpose: Abundant life means living according to God’s plan and calling for you (Jeremiah 29:11).
- Fruitful Living: It’s a life that produces the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) and impacts others in a positive, lasting way.
4. Freedom from Bondage
- Freedom from Sin: Through Jesus, believers are no longer slaves to sin but are free to live in righteousness (Romans 6:22). Jesus ended the sin issue on the Cross by taking all sin upon His body. (2 Corinthians 5:21) (Isaiah 53:1-5)
- Freedom from Fear: An abundant life is marked by trust in God’s protection and provision, leading to freedom from worry and fear (2 Timothy 1:7).
5. Love and Community
- Relationships of Love: Abundant life is lived in love toward God and others, fulfilling the greatest commandment (Matthew 22:37-40). Jesus super charged the Great Commandment buy giving us a new commandment to love one another as He loves you (John 13:34-35). We’re to love like Jesus loves.
- Generosity and Service: True abundance flows outward, as believers serve others and practice generosity (2 Corinthians 9:8). We’re to be in this world as Jesus was – the master servant. (1 John 4:17)
6. Living the Abundant Life – Sowing to The Spirit
Some ways to sow to the Spirit include:
- Seeking to live according to the guidance of The Holy Ghost and His nine fruit in all of your daily activities
- Courageously trusting God when called to do something that feels beyond your abilities in any situation
- Communicating with The Sprit about your life issues as needed
- Being grateful to The Spirit when He helps you with life issues
- Reading the Scriptures daily, memorizing, meditating on them and receiving supernatural revelations that leads to lifestyle transformation by The Spirit
- Spending time in prayer, which is talking with The Spirit about your needs, your hopes and your desires
- Regularly attending church services for corporate worship
- Attending Bible studies
Summary
The abundant life Jesus promised is an abundant life of spiritual richness, inner peace, and purpose. It is not defined by material wealth, but by an intimate relationship with God The Holy Spirit. Having the Fruit of the Spirit, the nine spiritual senses and the manifestation of the Gifts of The Sprit, first in our own lives and then by the discretion of The Spirit into the world to glorify Christ and His Kingdom. This result in joy and peace that come from living according to Father God’s will.
WHAT DOES SOWING TO THE SPIRIT LOOK LIKE?
Sowing to the Spirit” is a New Testament phrase that refers to accepting God’s truth, which is The Spirit and cultivating the fruit of The Spirit within oneself. It is abiding with The Spirit in your life on a moment-by-moment basis:
- Accepting Father God’s Spirit of truth: This involves accepting God’s truth, The Spirit into your heart, your soul.
- Cultivating the fruit of the Spirit: This involves nurturing the fruit of the Spirit, the nine spiritual senses, which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. You cultivate the nine spiritual senses, the characteristics of Christ by being led by The Spirit into Christlikeness.
- Developing a deeper relationship with God The Holy Spirit: This involves having a consistent personal and meaningful connection with God The Holy Spirit by abiding and fellowshipping with Him all day, every day.
- Spiritual growth: This involves spiritual practices like prayer, fasting, and studying the Bible under the guidance and revelation of The Spirit.
- Reaping the eternal, abundant life: This is the promise of sowing to the Spirit, as stated in Galatians 6:8.
Some ways to sow to the Spirit include:

THE SOUL OF MAN
Of the three elements that make up man, spirit, soul and body, the spirit of man is the Nobelist of the three for it joins with God, the Holy Spirit. The body is the lowest of the three because it has contact with the natural world. The soul of man joins the two together Making it possible for the spirit and the body to communicate and to cooperate. The soul must be transformed, spiritually, to keep the spirit and body in their proper order, so that they do not lose the proper relationship. That relationship is that the lowest, the body, may be subjected to the spirit, and that the highest, the spirit, may govern the body through the transformed soul. Since the soul is man’s primary factor, it is imperative that it be transformed into Christ likeness by God The Holy Spirit. During this continual transformation, the soul begins to look to the spirit to get the Revelation knowledge received from Holy Spirit in order that the soul, after it has been perfected (transformed), may transmit what it has obtained to the body. Then the body may also share in the continual perfection of Holy Spirit, and so become a spiritual body. Understanding The importance and power of the soul is paramount since the spirit and body are merged there and make it the site of a man’s personality and influence. The soul is the site of a man’s personality. The will, intellect and emotions of a man are in his soul. The soul stands between and exercises, its power to discern and decide whether the spiritual or the natural world will reign. Everything you do flows from the soul. The soul is so important that Jesus died to save it and satan does everything he can to kill it.
IS IT WELL WITH YOUR SOUL?
I have some good news for you! Jesus finished the sin issue on the Cross. We no longer have a sin issue PERIOD.
1 Peter 2:24 BBE He took our sins on himself, giving His body to be nailed on the tree, so that we, being dead to sin might have a new life in righteousness.
Galatian 1:4 TPT He the Anointed One who offered Himself as the sacrifice for our sins! He has rescued us from this evil world system and liberated us.
At Salvation we received God the Holy Spirit and He awakened our dead spirit, baptized it with Christ and now stands ready to work with us to renew our soul. Jesus finished the sin issue and sent Holy Spirit to work with us to conform our soul to the image of Christ which is the will of our Father.
Romans 8:29 NKJV For those who Father foreknew (everyone) He predestined us (all) to be conformed to the image of His son.
Think about it, at salvation your spirit was regenerated, born again. Your soul, the essence of you, was NOT regenerated. That’s why God The Holy Spirit was sent to us. To conform our soul into the likeness of Jesus. But this part is a joint effort, we have a part and Holy Spirit has a part. We can do it alone and Holy Spirit won’t do it without our participation.
We must develop an intimate, vibrant relationship with The Person of Holy Spirit to be conformed to the image of Christ so that we can enter the Kingdom of God NOW on earth as it is in Heaven.
1 Corinthians 5:17 NIV Therefore, if anyone is IN CHRIST, they are a new creation, the old has gone, behold everything is brand new.
John 1:12 NKJV But as many as received Him (Jesus), to them He (Father God) gave the power (God the Holy Spirit) to BECOME the sons and daughters of Abba Father. To those who believe in His Name.
To become sons and daughters of The Living God we must meet certain conditions:
- We must continually love and obey Christ
- We must continually be Led by God The Holy Spirit
- We must be continually listening to the teaching of Holy Spirit
- We must be continually seeking revelation knowledge from Holy Spirit by being in The Word daily
Salvation is free, the Kingdom of God abundant life is conditional, and it is now.
To enter the Kingdom of God our soul must be continually being conformed to Christlikeness.
God the Holy Spirit is the KEY to the Kingdom of God (Matthew 16:19). There is only one Key to the Kingdom, and it is the Kingdom Himself, which is God The Holy Spirit.
Romans 14:17 TPT For the kingdom of God… is in the realm of the Holy Spirit, filled with righteousness, peace, and joy.
WHY IS SOUL CARE SO IMPORTANT?
We are spirit, soul and body. Everyone’s spirit & soul are eternal. Your spirit and soul will spend eternity with GOD or apart from GOD.
Father God’s Plan is
The Spirit is King
The Soul is Servant
And the Body is the slave
After the Fall the evil world system is
The Body is King
The Soul is Servant
The Spirit is dead
Jesus came to rescue us from the world system and restore us back into the Family as sons and daughters of Abba Father. They have given us everything we need to succeed. But we must meet the conditions or out lives will become mundane and ineffective in the Kingdom.
We need to understand that to experience the good news of the Restoration, Kingdom Gospel of Jesus Christ and the new abundant life it offers we need to conform our soul to the image of Christ by the power and teaching of God the Holy Spirit.
Our souls are central to our existence, and a healthy soul is paramount to the abundant life that Christ promised us and that our Father wants us to have.
Deuteronomy 4:29 But if you seek the Lord your God, you will find Him, if you seek him with all your heart and all your soul.
Heart and soul are synonymous. They mean the same thing in scripture.
3 John 1:2 I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with y9u even as your soul prospers.
Our soul is our mind, will and emotions. We need to have the mind of Christ, the will of our Father and the emotions of the Kingdom (which are the senses of our spirit).
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ]gentleness, self-control.
These are not only the fruit of the Spirit but the senses of the Spirt, the emotions that we need to develop in the soul.
Matthew 10:28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather be afraid of the ONE who can destroy both soul and body.
If we’re not walking in union with God The Holy Spirit we are not protected from the evil one.
John 10:10 NKJV The enemy comes to steal, kill, and to destroy. I (Jesus) have come that you may have life, that that you may have it more abundantly.
So, when do we get abundant life? In heaven or now? It is NOW. But we must meet the conditions to receive it by our intimate relationship with God the Holy Spirit. He is the Spirit of Life.
John 6:63 Jesus says, It is God The Holy Spirit who gives life, the flesh profit nothing.
1 Peter 1:22 Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the Truth through The Spirit.
It is God the Holy Spirit that purifies, make righteous, makes holy our souls if we’re obedient.
James 1:21 Therefore, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to rescue, restore your souls.
It is reading The Word with The Spirit that implants the word in your soul and conforms it to Christlikeness. Holy Spirit is the conformer, the implanter, the transformer of the soul.
Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart/soul; for out if it flows the issues of life.
John 7:38 He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water.
Your regenerated spirit requires a regenerated soul and an obedient body as instruments for its expression. Rivers of living water can only flow when the soul is in line with the spirit and the body is obedient to it. The enemy tries to stop this flow by attaching the soul through the flesh. He uses carnal (fleshy) senses to influence the mind, disturbing the decision-making process and subjecting the emotions to overreaction to outside influences. We must immediately call on the power of The Spirit to break this blockage by bringing the soul back to conformity with Christlikeness so that the flow can resume. Then the senses of the spirit will rule over the soul and subdue the flesh back to the position as a slave.
You must always determine where you are being governed by and what environment you are creating. Those who live by the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live by The Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.
If you’re being governed from the inside by your Spirit led spirit, spiritual senses then the things of the Spirit will be evident when they flow out, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and spirit led self-control. But if you’re being governed by outside influences then they will impact your carnal senses that will irritate your emotions and impact your mind. Your effected by what flows out or by what flows in – it is your choice. Life or death.
Listen to The Spirit. He leads by our intuition, by our conscience. He gives us revelation through The Word of God, He speaks to us through other people. You will know it is Holy Spirit because it will always line up with The Word of God.
Stand with me and ask God the Holy Spirit in your own way to both indwell your sprit and your soul and infill you with His power.
If you want a new infilling, ask your Father for more of His Spirit. As someone you know who is walking with the Spirit to lay hands on you, plead the blood over you and ask The Spirit to live in and with you.

HOW TO LIVE WITH GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
How to live with God the Holy Spirit.
Before we start we need to establish two things. First, what did Jesus come to do for those who receive Him as Lord and Savior? Second, what or who is the ‘Key’ to the Kingdom of God?
To answer the first question we need to realize that Jesus did not start his ministry until He had received the baptism of God the Holy Spirit after His water baptism then He spent 40 days in the desert. From the time He came out of the desert until he was on the cross He taught about the Kingdom of God. In Matthew 4:17 were told “From that time (after His desert experience) Jesus began to preach and to say “Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand.” Then on the cross when the criminal ask Jesus to remember him when Jesus came into His Kingdom, Jesus responded in Luke 23:43 “And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” As a matter of fact in Luke 4:43 Jesus said to them “I must preach the Kingdom of God – because for this purpose I have been sent.” Jesus came to re-establish His Kingdom on earth through those who would receive and follow Him as disciples and he taught extensively on his Kingdom.
The answer to the second question is just as important as the first, they go hand in hand. Jesus said in Matthew 16:19. NKJV. “And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven,…””. The Greek word ‘kleis’ used for keys according Strong’s definition from G2808; a key (as shutting a lock), literally or figuratively:—key. Not keys. Here Jesus is talking about God the Holy Spirit. He is the Key that unlocks the Kingdom of God. Speaking in John 3:5-6 Jesus further states “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and (God) the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of (God) the Spirit is spirit.” So we must be spiritually born again by God the Holy Spirit regenerating our dead spirit into new Christlike life (II Corinthians 5:17-18 “Therefore, if anyone is ‘IN’ Christ, he is a NEW creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. NOW all things are of (Father) God.” and we must live with, that is walk in the spirit with God the Holy Spirit to accomplish this to be ‘IN’ Christ. We must learn to live in the spiritual and not the natural. If we do we can enter the Kingdom of God environment because Christ has made us righteous. Paul tells us in Romans 14:17 “For the kingdom of God is … righteousness, peace and joy ‘IN’ (God) the Holy Spirit,”
We must learn to live in the spiritual to be Kingdom minded and we must be righteous by being led by God the Holy Spirit, to be righteous we must be ‘IN’ Christ per II Corinthians 5:21 “For He made Him (Jesus) who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of (Father) God ‘IN’ Him (Christ).”
This now takes us to Romans 7 where Paul talks about the battle we all face – the battle to follow after the flesh or to go with God the Holy Spirit. To be carnally minded or spiritually minded. In Romans 7:24-25 Paul states “O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death (sin)? I thank God-through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Paul was liberated from sins bondage by the Spirit of Life (God the Holy Spirit) who flows from the anointing of Jesus Christ.
In Romans 8:1 Paul states “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are ‘IN’ Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh but (walk) according to the Spirit.” As you’ve noticed I have been highlighting the word ‘IN’ because it is important to understand that being ‘IN’ Christ or ‘IN’ the Spirit is being in a state of being like them, or with them, which can only be done by God the Holy Spirit in our spirt. The Greek word “EN” which is translated ‘IN’ means to be fixed in a place, time or state of being like. It can also be translated as ‘WITH’. It means that when we’re ‘IN’ our spirit, led by God the Holy Spirit into Christlikeness we are one with Christ, we are joined in LIFE UNION with Him in the Spiritual Kingdom of God environment. So we must learn and be trained by Holy Spirit to be spiritually minded and not carnally minded. In Colossian 3:1-2 to choose Christlikeness, not carnality we’re told “If then you were raised with Christ, sharing in His crucifixion, seek those things which are above, where Christ is , sitting at the right hand of (Father) God. Set you mind on (eternal) things above, not on (perishing) things on earth.”
Verse 2-4
Verse 5 “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”
Philippians 4:8 NKJV
Verse 6 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.”
John 6:63 NKJV
Verse 13 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Verse 15 “For (Father) God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of (Dynamic) power and of (Agape) love and of a sound mind.”

Verse 34 “and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,”

Summary of the life we’re to live in the new Christ life we live in the Kingdom of God environment (lifestyle).
“If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
I John 1:6-7 NKJV
“But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.”
I John 2:5-6 NKJV
“Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.”
I John 3:6 NKJV
“Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.”
I John 3:6, 9 NKJV
“Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.”
MEDITATION DETERMINES YOUR IDENTITY!
Meditation determines your identity – Kingdom or Carnal
First, let me start with a Question. When you received the gift of salvation and the gift of righteousness through God the Holy Spirit and were born again, what was born again?
- Your flesh, your body?
- Your mind, your thought life?
Neither it was your spirit that was born again, raised from the dead by God the Holy Spirit fully immersed in and baptized in Christ. Your soul is now positioned to become a brand-new creation, no past, future secured, living in Christlikeness in His presence in the present.
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ (joined in life union with him), the NEW (Spirit) Creation has come: The old has gone, (Behold) the new is here!”
Your spiritual walk begins at salvation. There is a new direction with total forgiveness of all your sins, past, present and future. You must surrender to God The Holy Spirit and die to the old self life of the Flesh so that He can conform your soul into the image of Christ. That is being joined in life union with Jesus – an intimate relationship with The Spirit and the nine spiritual senses – The Fruit of The Spirit.
2 Corinthian 5:21 “Abba Father made Jesus who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him (joined in life union with Him by God the Holy Spirit) we might become the righteousness of God.”
The problem is that your flesh and your soul with the five senses have not been born again and must be renewed. They still maintain a World Culture that is sin conscious. You must release The Spirit in your soul to transform your mind to the mind of Christ and live as Christ with your flesh crucified with Christ.
Romans 12:2 “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Romans 8:37 TPT “Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over the ALL, for Father God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over EVERYTHING.”
Your new spiritual thought life and the old flesh thought life conflict with one another. You have to make a decision as to which will rule in you, the new Spirit led spiritual person or the old carnal nature which is supposed to be dead. But for it remain dead you must renew your soul with the revelation knowledge of the Word of God by the Spirit of God.
Colossian 1:13 NKJV “He has deliverd us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the Kingdom of the Son of His Love.
Our new soul is a babe in Christ, and we must be trained and taught how to think in the spiritual and not the natural. This is one of the main purposes of God the Holy Spirit. Father God’s will is that all be conformed to the image of His Son. It is The Spirit who is the conformer and it is our soul that needs to be conformed.
John 14:26 “But the Advocate, God the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have told you.”
Ephesians 4:21 “If you have really experienced the Anointed One, and heard his truth, it will be seen in your New Christlife.”
Ephesians 4:22 “And He (God the Holy Spirit) has taught you to let go of the old lifestyle of the ancient man, the old self-life.”
Ephesians 4:23 “Now it’s time to be make NEW by every revelation that’s been given to you (by God the Holy Spirit through the Word of God).”
Ephesians 4:24 “And to be transformed (by the renewing of your mind) as you embrace the glorious Chistlife with your as your New Life and live in union with Him (Jesus)!”
Our soul must be trained by God the Holy Spirit to meditate on higher things. We must become spiritual thinkers. Those who live in The Spirit set their minds on the things of The Spirit.
Philippians 4:8. “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about, meditate on such things.”
Scriptural meditation means thinking about and reflecting on the right and higher thoughts with God the Holy Spirit. So, biblical memorization, with Spiritual meditation leads to supernatural revelation that creates lifestyle transformation.
Colossian 3:1-2 NKJV “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above (eternal higher thoughts), not on (perishing) things on the earth.”
Colossians 3:1-2 TPT “Christ’s resurrection is your resurrection too. Therefore, we are to yearn for all that is above, for that’s where Christ sits enthroned at the place of all power, honor and authority. Yes, feast on all the reassures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with heavenly realities, and not with the distraction of the natural realm.”
Spiritual Meditation means to ponder, chew on, a particular scripture and mentally applying it to your situation, circumstance or issue again and again. It means declaring and decreeing with Holy Spirit what the word of Father God says and claiming it until it manifests in your life. This kind of meditation with God the Holy Spirit’s revelation will affect your life in a way that nothing else can. Holy Spirit will use this type of meditation to transform your mind into the mind of Christ with revelation knowledge of the word and the wisdom and understanding to apply to your life. That what this type of spiritual meditation is all about. Getting the word of God written on your heart so that you become a living epistle.
2 Corinthians 3:3 TPT. “You are living letters (epistles) written by Christ, not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God—not carved onto stone tablets but on the tablets of tender hearts.”
Colossians 3:3 TPT “Your crucifixion with Christ has severed the tie to your old life, and now your true Christlife is hidden away in God in Christ (by God the Holy Spirit).”
This leading of Holy Spirit in scriptural meditation is tremendously powerful and life changing. God the Holy Spirit will lead you into the Kingdom of God lifestyle as He conforms your soul into the image of Christ and transforms you mind into that of Christ. You will now live the Kingdom of God Christlike lifestyle that will not only be transforming you into Christlikeness but will impact your spheres of influence for the Kingdom of God.
John 8:31-32 AMPC. So, Jesus was saying to those who had believed Him, “If you abide in My word (continually obeying My teachings and living in accordance with them, then) you are truly my disciples. And you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.”
How are we to live, we’re to live as Disciples who walk and talk and act just like our master – Jesus Christ our savior. As He is in the World so we are.
2 Corinthians 3:18 TPT “We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
1 John 2:3-6 “Now by this we know that we know Him if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth (God the Holy Spirit) is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God (God the Holy Spirit) is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.”
We are called to be lights to this dark world and salt to this tasteless world. But we are to grow and mature as disciples in our spiritual Christlikeness. Your soul needs the word of God to grow and mature. The revelation of the Word by God the Holy Spirit is the sap from the vine (Jesus) to us (the branches) so that we produce spiritual fruit as our Father prunes us to produce even more spiritual fruit through His Spirit.
1 John 1:6-7 NKJV. “If we say that we have fellowship with Him (Jesus through Holy Spirit), and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another (Jesus and us by an intimate relationship with Holy Spirit), and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
Our battle is over our mind. Will it be ruled by the carnal flesh or by the new, born-again spirit? It is our decision, be carnal and receive spiritual death or be spiritual and receive spiritual life.
Romans 8:1 “Therefore there is no condemnation for those who are joined in life union with Jesus by living in the spirit, led by God the Holy Spirit into the Christ like Lifestyle.”
We all fight the same battle over the mind, but those of us who have learned to live in the spiritual realm, surrendered to the Spirit walk in the victory already secured by Christ. Spirt led Disciples are no longer under condemnation because they are joined in life union by God The Holy Spirit. They have learned to live by under the laws of the Spirit of Life that flows from Jesus Christ and liberates us from our old carnal life in the flesh.
Romans 8:2 “For the law of the Spirit of Life that flows from the anointing of Jesus Christ has liberated us from the old law that caused us to sin and die.”
Romans 8:5 “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live in the spirit, led by God the Holy Spirit set their minds on the spiritual things.”
Romans 8:6 “For to be carnally minded is (spiritual) death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”
John 6:63 For Jesus told us that “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are LIFE.”
It is a choice that we all have to make moment by moment, day in and day out. Submit to being immersed in the influence of God the Holy Spirit who is truth and life or die spiritually in our carnality.
Psalm 119:11 Your Word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
Are you feeding your soul on the revelation Word of God every day? Are you in continual communication with God the Holy Spirit praying both in the Spirit and in the natural as He leads? Are you giving Abba Father all your worship and praise each day and worshipping his Son as your King? Are you preparing for His return or just hanging on until you go to heaven? Your answer has nothing to do with salvation – but everything to do with living the abundant life in the Kingdom Culture.
